The event will take place at ICC Sydney on 20 September and is for under-35s. EEAA chief executive Joyce DiMascio said the event will discuss actionable ways to improve the performance of our sector.
She commented: “The younger people in our industry are stepping up and sharing their expertise and insights – they are very vocal and committed to working in collaboration to improve the practices that can help reduce waste and overall environmental impact.”
The event is a part of the wider sustainability initiative of the Association which is being led by the Environmental Sustainability Working Group.
DiMascio continued: “At the Young Stars event, we are giving emerging leaders a direct pipeline to the Environmental Sustainability Working Group so that they can influence the course of action that will be adopted by the EEAA.
We are confident that many of the solutions towards embedding sustainable practices for the future will come from discussions such as this. It will be possible for participants to share ideas that could potentially be turned into industry-wide actions.”
