It will focus on the fresh organic produce markets, examining the new challenges and opportunities that have arisen in the wake of new European regulations.
During the work day topics that will be approached include: world trends and impacts of the new regulations; world and EU demand for organic products; and market trends and opportunities within the retail sector.
Among those speaking will be Elena Panichi, deputy director of Unit B.4 organic products at the European Commission, Julia Lernoud of FIBL & IFOAM-Organics International, and Pierre Escodo, editor of the journal Eurofresh Distribution.
The event expects attendance from over 1,600 exhibiting companies and 70,000 professional participants from 120 different countries.
