The event will have a thematic focus on artificial intelligence, and will be accompanied by two other events at the same venue: the Bitkom reception and Bitkom Blockchain Business Summit.
The Digital Summit is a key platform for collaboration between stakeholders from politics, business, science, trade unions and civil society, to shape digital transformation. Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and several members of her cabinet attended last year’s summit.
Peter Altmaier, federal minister for economic affairs and energy, said: “By hosting a number of important trade fairs and congresses dedicated to IT and electronics, Nuremberg has been actively involved in digital transformation for many years.
“It is the ideal venue for the Digital Summit: the region combines key skills in communications technology, embedded systems and software development with an attractive environment for digital start-ups and an unparalleled technology research and networking environment.”
NürnbergMesse also offers international platforms for knowledge transfer on digitalisation issues. The world’s leading trade fair for embedded systems, embedded world (26-28 February 2019), and cyber security fair it-sa are pointing the way forwards.
