China ranks among the top 20 in global innovation

The global innovation index has been published annually since 2007.Global innovation index in 2018 to include intellectual property ShenBaoLv, mobile application development, expenditure on education and science and technology publications, 80 indicators for analysis basis, is a quantitative assessment of 126 economies.

Emerging economies have moved up the rankings

While the United States still ranks first in core innovation input and output, it ranks second in the number of researchers, patents and scientific publications, behind China.

Switzerland, Luxembourg and China are among the top three countries in education's ability to turn investment and r&d spending into high-quality innovation.

Japan's Tokyo - yokohama region and China's shenzhen - Hong Kong are the top two technology clusters in the world.
