Since its launch at IMEX Frankfurt last month, the programme has seen 25 incentive professionals already earning their CITP designation.
Registration is open for the Vegas public sitting of the CITP exam, sponsored by One10, on 15 October, prior to the start of IMEX America.
The CITP certificate is awarded after passing an 80-question examination designed to measure a candidate’s performance against typical requirements of an incentive travel professional.
Aimed specifically at incentive travel planners in corporations and agencies, CITP is also relevant to senior managers on the supplier side – DMOs, CVBs, DMCs, hotels, cruise companies and venues.
The exam may be taken by incentive travel professionals who have five years’ full time employment in the incentive travel industry and 40 hours of continuous professional education – of which 25% must be specifically produced by SITE and related to incentive travel; or have earned their Certified Incentive Specialist (CIS) designation and have three years’ full time employment in the industry and 40 hours of continuous professional education – of which 25% must be specifically produced by SITE and related to incentive travel.
