According to the National Tourism Research Institute, the total number of national tourist receptions during the Spring Festival Golden Week exceeded 400 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, and tourism revenue reached 513.9 billion. Online sales of physical goods grew rapidly. From January to February, the online retail sales of physical goods in China reached 1,090.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.5%, which was 11.3 percentage points higher than the total retail sales of consumer goods, accounting for 16.5% of the total retail sales of consumer goods, an increase of 1.6 percentage points over the same period of the previous year. According to the statistics of the State Post Bureau, during the Spring Festival period (January 21 to February 10), the national postal industry delivery service business increased by 35% over the same period of the previous year.


The growth of consumption of cultural office supplies, communication equipment, cosmetics and gold, silver and jewellery has accelerated. From January to February, the sales of communication equipment, cultural office supplies, cosmetics, gold and silver jewellery above designated size increased by 8.8%, 8.2%, 8.9% and 4.4% respectively, which was 12.8, 9.7, 7 and 2.1 percentage points higher than the same period of the previous year. .


Consumer prices rose modestly. From January to February, consumer prices rose by 1.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate narrowed by 0.6 percentage points from the same period of the previous year. According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Commerce, the prices of edible agricultural products in 36 large and medium-sized cities in January-February fell 0.8% year-on-year, and fell 1.8% year-on-year in February, ending the year-on-year upward trend for 8 consecutive months.
